At Gears we are firm believers in the benefits of properly focussed Research and Development. This is not academic work but commercially focused research targeted at delivering short term measurable benefits.
There are three main strands to our research activities, Self-funded, Collaborative and Client-funded. Currently, all active projects are related to the quarrying sector but we have the necessary skill set to formulate and deliver R&D programmes across a broad spectrum of ground engineering disciplines. We are happy to work with Clients in any sector who interface with ground engineering and where the risks associated with the ground impact on their business. In these situations, R&D can deliver real commercial benefits
